Patsy Machia has been involved with training and development for over 20 years. She has developed and implemented numerous programs on team building, goal setting, group process skills, employee retention, employee recognition, special events, stress management, and wellness. Patsy has also worked with several companies to set up wellness programs and Employee Assistance Programs within those organizations. Furthermore, she has over 12 years experience in the healthcare arena, where she has done community education on healthcare services. In addition, Patsy has several certifications. She is a trained facilitator in the Technology of Participative Group Facilitation Methods of the Institute of Cultural Affairs. She is also certified by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, and she is a certified instructor in STEP (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting). Moreover, Patsy spent over 15 years working with at-risk youth in both residential and psychiatric settings. She currently works as the Regional Manager for Action Staffing Group in Greenville, North Carolina and is certified by the American Staffing Association as a Certified Staffing Professional. Patsy participates in a number of community activities, which include serving as Ambassador with the Pitt-Greenville Chamber of Commerce as well fulfilling the role of 2004-2005 Chair of the Farmville Chamber of Commerce. Patsy is also on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross -- Pitt County Chapter. She is currently the director of Human resources for a non profit sheltered workshop.
